Greg Brown & Thomas Rawls
Word around spring practice is that Greg Brown (2011 commit) who enrolled early has really stepped up at the cornerback position and may be a viable option for this upcoming season. He didn’t have a great senior year and wasn’t the sexy name everyone was excited about but he has definitely created some competition and depth at the cornerback position.
Arguably one of the most questionable position areas on the team this year is running back. Although Michigan has a lot of talent in that area there isn’t an obvious starter. Several of the coaches have expressed interest in Thomas Rawls (2011 commit) and feel that he is the kind of big back Michigan needs. Scouts that have watched Rawls play compare him to a Mark Ingram type, a big back that can find holes and isn’t scared to lower his shoulder. This should make for an interesting fall when practice starts up again and we get to see how Rawls compares to the other running backs.
